Greg plays with the “BAR BAND” at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City

Friday night, Jan 10, 2019, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City. The “Bar Band”, as they are known, put on a performance that had gamblers leaving their tables to see who these performers were. The music was so well put together, so classic, you couldn’t wait to hear the next song, and the next.

The group is a combination of musical super talent from multiple groups and sounds. You all know Greg Davis of course from Beru Revue, Cross Town Traffic, and more. Along with David Uosikkinen from The World Famous “THE HOOTERS”, and the creator of In the Pocket. Kenny Aaronson, a base player like I’ve never heard before playing with Bob Dylan & the Yard Birds, and Steve Butler & Wally Smith from Smash Palace, Cross Town Traffic, and more. Each has a history to read about but the talent… WOW, you just have to see these fellas play. Greg always seems to involve himself with the best of the best. Saturday October 5th was no exception. David Uosikkinen provided all of us fans with yet another “IN THE POCKET” performance featuring talent that, to be honest, most of us sometimes don’t realize live right within our wonderful City of Philadelphia & have written some of the best songs ever produced. This event was even more special to me with the addition of Bob Beru to the performers.

About David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket
Drummer David Uosikkinen, is one of the founding members of Philadelphia’s own, The Hooters. In 2010, David formed his own band, David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket to bring awareness to music education and to pay homage to all of the great music that has come out of Philadelphia. In The Pocket brings together all-star Philly musicians to cover classic Philadelphia tunes.

About David Uosikkinen
David has played drums with The Hooters for over 30 years. He has also recorded and performed with Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Taj Mahal and Patty Smyth, as well as with many other emerging artists. In addition, David has performed on extensive international tours, including Live Aid, Amnesty International and Roger Waters’ The Wall in Berlin.
When David isn’t on stage, he returns to his first love of teaching and mentoring his students. Contact us for more information on lessons.
